Crossroads Kids Camp helps grieving children cope with the loss of a loved one

"Give yourself permission

to be your authentic self"

LaShanda Milner MA, LPC, CGRS

Hello, I'm LaShanda, the kiddos that I am privileged to work with call me Ms. Lala. I am the sole owner and operator of Mary's Foundation of Hope, LLC. I have an amazing family and support network that keeps me anchored and empowered. My counseling and support business was formed and named in honor of my mom, Mary . After my mom died, it became very clear that I was meant to use my education and experience to compassionately serve hurting individuals and communities.

Upon receiving my Certified Grief Recovery Specialist (CGRS) training, my conviction deepened to walk alongside individuals as they navigate the unknowns of many different types of losses.

I served as a  Minister for 15 years providing supportive guidance and presence to hundreds of families through their many difficult transitions.

As a Bereavement Coordinator for a hospice company, it was an honor to be invited in to provide personalized anticipatory and after death care to caregivers and bereaved families in their sacred spaces. I am currently the Director for a children's grief camp- Crossroads Kids, helping children to grieve and grow.

I earned my MA degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, with an emphasis in mental health. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I also serve as a Youth and Family Therapist at Operation Breakthrough, in Kansas City. This position has further raised my awareness and resolve to advocate for the needs of those in at-risk and underserved communities.

I provide both individual and group counseling services for children and adults. I am also experienced in facilitating various community workshops and vigils.

I am driven and inspired to help others discover and experience their unique wellness. Together, let's help you live your best life!
